On Nov 23 ( a Saturday) from 11:00 to 12:00 a program on Texas history and genealogy of Stephen F. Austin's colony and also with explanation of certificates by the Texas State Genealogical Society for families whose ancestors settled in various parts of Texas between 1823 and 1901. Workshop will continue until 2:30 for those wanting to research or fill out forms. ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT THE LIBRARY HANDED OUT 140 SACKS THIS YEAR! Many thanks to the Poe family for the 108 colored pencil sets and the 100 coloring books, and to Brittany Banks for sacking up the bags-- and to Roger and Cindee Molenda, Perla McMullen and Shelby Hyde for handing out the bags. The children's Pre-School / toddler program11:00 Thursdays will continue throughout the year. NEW CHILDREN'S BOOKS through the Pilcrow Foundation's matching grant still on display and for check-out / ALSO, NEW LARGE PRINT BOOKS FOR ADULTS through the HOT grant. ALSO, NEW LARGE PRINT BOOKS FROM AUSTIN THROUGH "PLAN" / LIBRARY HOURS - Opening at 11:00 Tuesday _ Friday We will close for lunch at 12:00 - 1:00 -- then open til 5:00 on Tues - Thursday - close at 4:00 on Friday ; Saturdays open from 10:30 - 1:30 . - Toddlers or pre-school on Thursday mornings at 11:00- The book club "Moms of the Valley" for young women organized by Perla McMullen of the library board will be on every third Sunday of the month at 6:00 p.m. / For a library card adults need to bring driver's license and a utility bill, or car insurance if they do not have a utility bill, during regular hours.
